TINNEY TOKYO News, July 2021
With the announcement of the Eventing Tokyo Team now official, we are now moving forward. The news of Elisabeth Brinton’s ‘Celebration’, (one of the favourites for the team) hurting himself so close to selection devastated us all. ‘Charlie’ is on rest with a minor injury which put him out of contention. On a positive note, we consider him to have an amazing future, he is still young, this is slight set-back and looking forward to his return immensely.
It took some time to absorb the terrible news about Charlie and THANK YOU to all those wonderful messages of support, we were humbled by so many. It has certainly confirmed ‘Charlie’ has a huge fan club!! ‘Leo’ you have BIG shoes to fill, but we are confident you will shine😊
We have now gathered our thoughts together and put our focus on our own ‘Leporis’ as the nominated ‘RESERVE’. The true term for Stuart is P-Alternate athlete.
We excited for the Games and supporting the rest of the team, Andrew Hoy, Shane Rose and Chris Burton. This Games has been, and still is a logistical nightmare for all involved, we appreciate all the organization from High Performance and EA, the fact that there are a million things to assemble and sort through before and during is unfathomable.
We thought you may like to know how this Games is working for the Eventing and some interesting rules.

The World Championships 2022 ITALY
Next year we truly hope that COVID-19 has been controlled around the globe. We are looking forward to The World Equestrian Games which will be held, alongside the Driving in ‘Pratoni Del Vivaro’ ITALY. Stuart competed there in 1998 with Jeepster coming a credible 8th place. Tex, owned by Sue Walker was his reserve horse.. maybe another visit!!?? Gemma Tinney!!
FUN FACT for WEG 2022
Pratoni del Vivaro (ITA), venue for the Eventing discipline at the Rome 1960 Olympic Games, will host FEI World Championships for Eventing and Driving in September 2022. The Italian venue, located 35 kilometers south of Rome, is no stranger to hosting high-level equestrian events and FEI Championships. It was the site for the cross-country competition at the FEI World Equestrian Games™ 1998 and hosted the FEI World Driving Championships for Singles in 2006 and 2010.
Our long-term sponsors- CopRice, Bates saddles, Ceva, and Horseland we are so grateful to be part of your team!
Ecomist and Proteq equine bedding are truly part of our team too and thank you for your ongoing support with product.
We would like to thank TRM for their support of the Australian team horses.
Curragh Carron OIL
Gemma put us onto this product, then TRM very generously allowed us to trail ‘CC oil’, as we call it! We use it as a digestive aid- high in fatty acids, omega 3 and 6, plus calcium and linseed oil.
Gemma turned us to use TRM supplements on our horses, due to their range and simplicity of use, plus effectiveness.
Superlyte pastes
In our lead up to some 3day events we have some high intensity training which needs electrolyte support- We find that this TRM paste is great for admin, as many horses are sometimes not fond of electrolytes in their feed. Plus, Superlyte has all the right ingredients for us.
