Sydney ode @SIEC for Gemma plus Canberra for Stuart
Great results for Gemma in March, Stuart was away with the AUS team in NZ (congratulations on their win!)
‘PHS Hilton’ (owned by Tim Game and The Tinney’s) pulled off his first win in the 3*- looking really comfortable at this level. The lady- ‘Fernhill Aisling Star’ (also owned by Tim Game and Karen) coming in 2nd in the 2* Canberra ODE soon followed for Stuart with the youngsters, a very pleasant weekend away UNTIL….. A face plant into the water with ‘Caruso’.. (see photo jumping in, what followed was a bit messy!)
The lovely ‘Cat Fish’ made his debut in the 95cm with a convincing win. Still very green but certainly he appeared to love his first ODE.
Moving on to Tamworth and the Royal Easter Show
Good results for the Tinney team at Tamworth- ‘Viennese’ coming in 8th in the 4* – Gemma went well on the mare ‘Ash’ 2nd 2* and ‘Hilly’ mid eld. More exciting was the Royal Easter Show, Stuart and Gemma providing entertainment with the speed class and 6 bar! It is always fun and we appreciate the invite and love going. The 6 bar got to 1.55m .. no wins for us in the 6 bar this year, but a win in the speed class for Gemma on ‘Ash’- who would have thought our beautiful Irish Sport horse could be quick turning and fast!
The Australian 3de in Adelaide 18th-21st
With Adelaide 3de fast approaching we have Stuart being assistant course design for the 5*, plus Gemma riding ‘Hilly’ in the 3*. There will be course walks, stand appearances and no doubt lots of great eventing, right in the heart of the city. So looking forward to this event!
Did you know that BATES Saddles has partnered with equestrian groups all over the world? What an initiative, what support! Thank you for being our sponsor plus your contribution to the sport globally!
A big thank you to our supporters HIDEZ, ECOMIST and PROTEQ bedding
We will be back soon with more news, we are sadly losing Gemma to the UK after Adelaide, it is truly time for her to spread her ‘horsey’ wings and give the British Eventing a whirl! We will so miss her 🙁
