New horses arrive- the Tinney team is full …. for now !

March saw a few events under way for us, however we have some new young imports that need some time at home and just training days before they hit the ‘big time eventing!’
Our team is full for now! With Gemma now sitting on PHS HILTON, (‘Hilly’) establishing 2*. Her new 5yo Irish Sport Horse mare ‘Fernhill Aisling Star’ bought by Tim Game, has settled in so well in such a short time, it saw her win 2 x pre-lim tests at our local Hawkesbury Riding Club, she is divine, her lovely nature is outstanding:) ‘Hilly’ also a true gentleman, 2 x 3rd’s in his Elementary tests.. Stuart will concentrate on the youngsters (Cat Fish and Caruso) plus his charismatic ride ‘Viennese’ who we ALL love 🙂

Stuart has also been busy with his Course Design, being assistant to Mike Etherington-Smith for the 5* in Adelaide plus taking the reins for the 3* course.
Being Course Designer takes away Stuart’s ability to competition ride, plus Gemma’s (due to conict) so choosing events that Gemma, and or Stuart can compete in needs some thought plus organizing.

FACT 1:

Horses that travel can internally stress

With changes in environment, travel, stress of competition we recommend and always USE Ceva’s OMOGUARD and DEFENDER – Ceva also has a wide range of products to suit your horse, your companion animal and more! A trusted brand for Tinney Eventing

FACT 2:

Horses require a nutritious balanced feed that is not too complex and digestible.

We always USE and recommend CopRice feeds.

Adelaide Equestrian Festival’s new date was a success, so too was our ‘DAISY’

There is alot to like about not riding at one of the biggest events in the world! Sponsors have more time with us and us with them 🙂

With Stuart and Gemma not competing this year, both were very happy to be able to give back to our sponsors, (without the stress of riding!) For Stuart there was The Bates course walk- Horseland Masterclass as well as stand appearances, for Gemma, social visits to Horseland, Bates and TRM, plus some sponsor promotions. Certainly, Adelaide pulled off a fabulous event, the weather was kind and there were record crowds. Hopefully next year we will be competing again at this prestigious event.

To top off a great event, ‘Daisy’ ridden by Shane Rose, did a super job in her first 5* to just miss podium finish. A tremendous ride from Shane, a stupendous effort from Daisy, and Shane’s astounding win on ‘Virgil’, needs congratulating 🙂

‘Daisy’ was originally sent to Shane hopefully to become one of his top team horses for Championship level, this she has certainly done, plus is proving to love the sport more and more!

Thank you CopRice, Bates saddles, Horseland and Ceva, our most loyal sponsors, you are part of the Tinney Eventing family! Also, a huge thanks to Proteq, Ecomist and Hidez with their products that fit into our program like a glove!
Plus our owners, Tim Game for coming on board 30 plus years ago, remaining always supportive and forever giving insight, thank you 🙂 Kerry Blair and Alice Weller- a big thanks to you both, it is always fun!
