Eventing in Springtime- Sydney and Canberra
With a winter gap in the eventing calendar we are pleased to have some great events under our belt. Both events were run by a truly professional OC. The Sydney Spring Classic we ran a small team in the CCN3* Stuart running 3rd on Daisy, 5th on DD and 6th on Wasabi- Gemma taking out the blue ribbon on Tim Games DIABOLO. Gemma took the ride on WANDA to even up the rides, sadly Gemma and Wanda took a fall on the flat, slipping over. No one hurt fortunately.

CANBERRA CCI followed with an even larger team -7 horses between both Stuart and Gemma in the top 3 and 4* classes- It was tight and rapid fire, but we pulled it off with some great team work on the ground. The Saturday was cold and wet- and all of our horses were touched with Spring fever! Lots of fresh antics in the dressage- Thankfully their energy levels had decreased for Sunday and they all show jumped exceptionally well 6 clear rounds from 7. XC we had 7 clears with some time penalties- taking it easy as some of the team had not had a run-in month. Ground was awesome after the rain- In saying that 5 horses came in the top 10- CCI4*-S Elisabeth Brinton’s CELEBRATION 8th, LEPORIS 10th. CCI3*-S Daisy 2nd, Dalenna Daydream 3rd, and Gemma on WANDA 9th. DIABOLO and Gemma coming mid field after a leisurely run in their first 4*- Clear SJ and XC with time.
As many of you would know we won a yearling at The Melbourne International 3DE- The concept may have been thoughtful, but reality is the owners of this prize would like him (Robert) to go to a home that will have the time to produce him. Unfortunately, a 2-year-old is not a good fit for us right now. We are looking at options and selling him is plan A. If you or you know anyone that may be interested, please contact us- via fb or web site. Robert is delightful and very well handled. He has had a bridle on plus a roller so ready to sell 🙂
A shout out to our main sponsors, COPRICE/BATES/HORSELAND and CEVA- You are so incredible to our team plus success-Thank you. Also, Proteq and Ecomist- Truck and yard essentials. Thank you.
Part of our success is our program not only with our training but maintaining our horse’s health. We are keen users of CEVA’s Pentosan Equine plus Pentosan Gold plus halo. – Including their feed and additives, CopRice and Ceva Joint Guard. When we travel, we use Proteq Equine bedding- would not be without Proteq, to avoid slipping whilst travelling. SPRING certainly brings out the flies- so turning on the Ecomists is just as easy as a switch! This product keeps delivering results- go to their web site and purchase online:
