A BIG thank you to our sponsors, owners, staff and friends for what has been a year never to forget … Your amazing, continued support for Tinney Eventing and our team of horses, we are always so grateful.
With 2021 Olympic Games looming we are set for a vigorous campaign and we love that you will all be with us for the ‘ride’!! A productive, positive start to 2021 will take shape with events and selections. Our front runner ‘Celebration’ (Charlie) owned by Elisabeth Brinton has had very competitive scores, in line with the world stage of Eventing, is solid and consistent. Our own ‘Leporis’ (Leo) is a forerunner and definitely is stepping up with Charlie’s successes. We are focused and resolute – including Gemma, she will pursue her qualifications for Tokyo 2021, The World Games 2022 and Paris Olympics 2024! Her horses, Tim Games Diabolo, our own Dalenna Daydream, Be my Daisy and Wanda. she has an amazing string for the future. THANK YOU to Tim Game, 25+ years of support, The Blair/Wheller family your continued support, Elisabeth Brinton. You are ALL awesome and we love having you with us and your horses. BATES, CEVA, COPRICE and HORSELAND, again you have been here for us for over 20 years! You never let us or our horses down. Ecomist and Proteq, essential in our yard. Equestrian Australia, for your insight, future goals and motivation to represent AUSTRALIA. This whole team, we are so grateful you are with us.
‘DD’ made a small error at the third last fence, her only error but certainly Gemma did not come off so well. a mis judgement on her part, brushed the top rail and spat Gemma out. Unfortunately, Gemma was in the wrong place, as ‘DD’ stumbled to regain her balance she caught Gemma’s helmet peak and nose… resulting in what was to be a minor fall but a broken nose 🙁 Her Miss Sam shield did its job, as all helmets should.
‘Leo’ did a super test for an early draw. Getting a sub-30- He was super all weekend, fast and easy XC, sadly one rail in the SJ, which is unusual her him, but that’s the game we are in! Finishing in 3rd CCI4*-L
Returning to Gemma’s story, she went onto ride ‘Daisy’ after a strict medical assessment plus clearance from Wallaby Hill’s ‘Medical team’. The Dr and medics were on the scene within minutes to assist and follow protocol for such a fall. Great work, very impressive and through. Gemma went onto 2nd place in the CCI3*-L with ‘Daisy’
Elisabeth certainly has an eye for a superstar! ‘Charlie’ as he is known, is a character who oozes talent… With a sub 30 dressage, clear clear, he just keeps on giving us the international scores we need, plus results. Finishing 2nd CCI4*-L. His selection for Tokyo Olympics is looking solid and certainly a possibility.
The Tinney’s are taking some time out for a few weeks to restore, repair and enjoy the festive season with friends and family. We hope that COVID does not impact you too much over this period. We must look towards a brighter 2021, leave 2020 behind us and thank those who have continued to protect us during ‘ANNUS HORRIBILIS’ of 2020.. Cherish each other… Cheers-The Tinney’s
